Law enforcement authorities responded to reports of a possible kidnapping around 3:22 a.m. at a residence located on the 1900 block of 33rd Street Southeast.

According to official reports, Jaramillo utilized a tracking device he had secretly placed in his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle to monitor her whereabouts. When the victim exited the residence, Jaramillo confronted her, forcibly took her vehicle keys, and compelled her into the trunk of her own car. He then drove her to his residence in Palmetto, Florida, where he allegedly held her against her will.

Shortly after the kidnapping took place, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office was informed of the incident. Jaramillo was apprehended while attempting to leave his neighborhood, with the victim still in her vehicle. Fortunately, the victim sustained only minor injuries during this harrowing experience.
