News Summary

Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful will need to adjust their viewing plans as the latest episode will not air at its usual time due to technical difficulties. Instead, it will be broadcast overnight, a change announced as part of ongoing schedule adjustments linked to a new noon newscast. As the show prepares for significant production changes, viewers can catch the episode online or via the station’s app.

Tampa Bay, FL – The highly anticipated episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, originally scheduled to air at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26, will not air as planned due to unexpected technical difficulties. Instead, viewers can expect the episode to air overnight from 2:37 a.m. to 3:07 a.m. on the following day.

Fans of the show are encouraged to adjust their viewing habits accordingly. To catch the delayed episode, viewers should set their DVRs to record, or they can watch it online via CBS.com on Wednesday. Moreover, those wishing to stream 10 Tampa Bay content on their mobile devices can download the 10 Tampa Bay app for their phones.

This airing change is part of a broader shift in the programming schedule due to the introduction of an expanded noon newscast by WTSP, a CBS affiliate in Tampa Bay and Sarasota, effective July 7. As a result, both The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful will undergo time slot changes. The new noon show, titled 10 Tampa Bay Midday, will be broadcast from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., forcing The Young and the Restless to move to a 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. slot, while The Bold and the Beautiful will take over the 3:00 to 3:30 p.m. timeframe, leading into Great Day Live, which will now air at 3:30 p.m.

Notably, the existing show Daytime Jeopardy! will have its final broadcast at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, July 4, while the evening versions of Jeopardy! will continue to be scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Similarly, other popular shows like Let’s Make a Deal and The Price is Right will maintain their regular airing times at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., respectively. No further changes to the overall schedule are anticipated, as no additional comments have been provided by a TEGNA spokesperson regarding the changes in broadcasting.

The recent technical issues also affected a previous episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, which led to the relaying of the episode aired on July 21 back on television at 3 p.m. on July 23, prior to the airing of the new episode later. CBS has a plan to air the new episode overnight following this rebroadcast.

In addition to the scheduling changes, The Bold and the Beautiful, currently in its 38th season, is preparing for a significant transition. The show will temporarily leave its longtime filming studio, Television City in Los Angeles, which is set for a multi-year, billion-dollar renovation and expansion. Filming for the upcoming 39th season will move to Sunset Las Palmas Studios, starting on August 19, marking a new chapter for the beloved soap opera.

Over its long history, The Bold and the Beautiful has produced over 9,600 episodes since its launch in 1987. The head writer and executive producer has expressed sentiments regarding the show’s extensive legacy at Television City, a facility that has been a vital part of its production history. Meanwhile, Sean Griffin, Senior Vice President of Sales for Sunset Studios, welcomed the production team as they embark on this new journey at Sunset Las Palmas Studios, while reaffirming their commitment to maintaining a significant presence in Hollywood.

All episodes of CBS soap operas, including The Bold and the Beautiful, will continue to be available on CBS.com and through the Paramount+ streaming service, ensuring that fans can stay up-to-date with their favorite daytime programming despite these recent changes.
